Rocky Women’s Golf Win Battlin’ Bears Invite Led By Another Zuleta Individual Victory; Men Finish Second

BILLINGS, Mont. Oct 4, 2022- Rocky Mountain College Women's Golf takes first in the Battlin' Bears Invite with a 615 stroke total, led by an individual victory by Valentina Zuleta, while the Battlin' Bears Men take second place with an 840 stroke total.

The Rocky women finished 47 strokes over par, which put them 21 strokes over second place North Idaho College. Valentina Zuleta earned her third individual victory of the season shooting a 142, which put her at par. Teammate Claire Wright followed behind Zuleta in second place shooting a 148 total. Ella Torsleff tied for seventh with a 160 total, Grace Metcalf and Breana Jensen tied for tenth with a 162 total, and Tyla Potgieter tied for twelfth with a 163 total.

The Rocky men finished 12 strokes under par, which put them four strokes behind the winners, North Idaho College. The Rocky men were led by Nolan Burzminski who placed second overall with a 208 total, while Haydn Driver finished with a 207 stroke total to put him in third place overall. Leon Doedtmann shot 212 to tie him for fifth place, while Daniel Sigurjonsson, William Dexheimer, and Aidan McDonagh all shot 213 to tie them for seventh place overall.

Rocky men and women will be back in town next week for the Grob Cup, held at Lake Hills Golf Course October 13th-15th.
