Media Inquiries

It is the responsibility of the Sports Information Director to serve as the liaison for the department with the media including but not limited to generating story ideas, development of press releases, game stories, etc.  To ensure the integrity of the particular program as well as the Athletic Department and the institution, all interviews with local, regional, and national media must first be communicated to the Director of Sports Information. Coaches are not permitted to coordinate, schedule or solicit interviews with the media unless approved by the Sports Information Director. Frequent requests for interviews, will likely result in a set time and location to interview (ie. before football practice on Herb Klindt Field or after basketball games outside the locker room).

All interviews involving RMC student-athletes or coaches must be scheduled through the Sports Information Director at least 24 hours in advance. Practices are generally available for interviews, as well as following home contests after a required cool-off period.

The Sports Information Director will also serve as the liaison for any requests for media passes to use for video or photo repurposing of athletic contests.

Services

RMC Sports Information will provide rosters, releases, and statistics/results prior to and following each athletics contest to local media and throughout all social media outlets. Rocky Sports Information also oversees digital media within all home events. Any individual not employed by Rocky Mountain College who wishes to take photos or videos at Rocky home events must first contact the Sports Information Director and is asked to share their images/content with the Office of Sports Information.
