Tomlin Sets School Record as Rocky Track and Field Competes in Bobcat PReview

BOZEMAN, Mont., Dec. 8, 2022- The second school record in as many meets was broken Wednesday in the rescheduled Bobcat PReview, hosted by Montana State University. 

Braden Tomlin, a sophomore from Red Lodge, Montana, set the school record and an indoor personal best in the men's long jump, after taking third place with a longest jump of 6.43 meters. Tomlin also competed in the men's 60 meter dash, where he finished in 7.32 seconds for 17th place. 

Jay Jetmore, who set a school record of his own less than a week ago, finished in third place in the men's pole vault with a final jump of 4.55 meters, tying the record he set in Spearfish last Saturday. Jetmore also competed in the men's 60 meter dash, in which he finished in 14th place with a time of 7.26 seconds.

Dakota Manecke finished in fifth place in the women's pole vault with a final vault of 3.30 meters. 

Rocky Track and Field will go back to Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota after the new year to compete in the Myrle Hanson Open on Saturday, January 14th.
