KANSAS CITY, Mo. Aug 26, 2022- Rocky Mountain College Men's Golf is voted by NAIA Head Coaches as the 25th ranked team in the NAIA with 132 points. Battlin' Bears women received votes, but fell just outside the top 25.
This poll was voted on by a panel of head coaches that represented each conference. The top 25 is determined by a point system, where a rank on a coaches ballot counts for points. A team earns 25 points for a first place vote, 24 for a second vote, and so on through the list.
Reigning National Champions Keiser (Fla.) received all 19 first-place votes in the Men's poll, while reigning National Champions British Columbia received 14 of 17 first place votes to be the top ranked team on the women's side.
The Battlin' Bears men were the only Frontier Conference team voted into the top 25, while Montana Tech was the only other school in the conference to receive votes. No Frontier Conference school on the women's side resided in the top 25, and Rocky was the only school to receive votes.
Rocky men and women are coming into the 2022-2023 season off of a dominant 2021-2022 season in which they swept the Frontier Conference Regular Season Championship and had numerous individual tournament winners.
