WINDSOR, Colo.- Natasza Klimko earned her third individual title of the season to lead Rocky Women's Golf to a team victory, while a pair of top-five finishes propelled the Rocky Men to a runner-up finish in their 2026 fall season finale.
Freshmen Duo Leads No. 25 Rocky Women's Golf to Team Title
Freshman Natasza Klimko wrapped up one of the most impressive fall debuts in the NAIA this season, recording her third individual title in just her fifth collegiate tournament. Klimko captured the victory by three strokes with a total score of 3-over-par 147 (74-73). With four holes remaining, she was deadlocked with Bellevue's Annabelle Cziezerski for the individual lead, but the freshman closed strong—stringing together two birdies and two pars down the stretch to pull away for the win. Klimko paced the field with nine birdies, two more than any other competitor, while holding the field's best par-4 scoring (+2) and committing just a single double bogey or worse across 36 holes.
Fellow freshman Anna Lende posted her best collegiate tournament to date in Colorado, finishing fourth overall with a score of 11-over-par 155 (78-77), while Kirsten Smith notched a top-10 finish in ninth place at 19-over-par 163 (84-79). Smith tied Klimko for the best par-5 scoring in the field at 2-under par.
Alivia Webinger rounded out the scoring lineup for the Battlin' Bears, tying for 12th overall at 26-over-par 170 (88-82). Carlee Verdugo tied for 19th with a 29-over-par 173, while Lilia Troxel, competing as an individual, finished 27th at 36-over-par 180 (93-87).
The Battlin' Bears finished strong to claim the team championship by 19 strokes, posting a overall score of 58-over-par 634 (323-311). Day two proved to be the difference-maker for Rocky, as their second-round 311 was 18 strokes better than any other team in the field.
No. 18 Rocky Men Climb to Runner-Up Finish
Braxton McDonald fired the best final round in the field to surge into second place overall, finishing at even-par 216 (75-72-69). His standout third round featured an electric finish, carding five birdies and four pars over his final nine holes. Playing remarkably steady golf, McDonald was one of only six players in the field to record just one double bogey or worse across 54 holes.
After entering the day just two strokes off the individual lead, Kristjan Burkelca tied for fourth overall at 6-over-par 222 (71-71-80). Nathan Piers delivered a consistent performance to place 14th overall with a 16-over-par 232 (77-77-78), while Sam Norman rounded out Rocky's team scoring, tying for 18th at 19-over-par 235 (74-78-83).
Competing as an individual, Kellen Meyer finished 20th overall with a 20-over-par 236 (79-78-79), while Adam Hyde-Lay tied for 25th at 24-over-par 240 (85-78-77). Notably, Hyde-Lay and Piers were two of only four players in the entire field to record multiple eagles during the tournament.
The Rocky men secured the runner-up spot with a 54-hole total of 35-over-par 899 (297-298-304). Though finishing 14 strokes behind tournament host Hastings College, the Battlin' Bears pulled ahead of conference foe Bellevue University on the final day, defeating the Bruins by six strokes.
