BUTTE, Mont.- Led by an individual victory from Caleb Tomac, the Rocky Men's Cross Country team placed six runners in the top eight overall to cruise to a decisive team win at the Butte Invitational.

Junior Caleb Tomac spearheaded the dominant performance for the Battlin' Bears, who were ranked No. 16 in Thursday's NAIA Top 25. Tomac delivered a commanding 27-second victory, crossing the line in 26:10.4. Rocky's scoring lineup followed suit in spots 3 through 6, with Matthew Conrad (3rd; 26:51.1), Zachary Zwiesler (4th; 27:01.6), John Spinti (5th; 27:05.0), and Joseph Perkins (6th; 27:13.9) turning in strong efforts to give the team an impressive 19-point score.

Rounding out the lineup were Ashtyn Rask in eighth place (27:45.1) and Stephen Stohl in 14th place (28:30.8).

The Battlin' Bears secured a convincing 45-point victory over runner-up MSU Billings, putting together a statement pack performance.

Rocky's freshman class continues to gain valuable early-season experience. Samantha Krantz led the way, finishing 22nd overall (26:45.4), while Antoinette Adams placed 27th (27:16.6) and Jaylee Meyers finished 31st (27:48.0).
