Wes Keller has been the head coach of the Rocky Mountain women’s basketball team since the start of the 2014-15 season.
Keller has an impressive list of accolades since taking over the women's program, including being named 2022 WBCA NAIA National Coach of the Year and a two-time Frontier Conference Coach of the Year (21-22, 24-25). Keller has coached nine NAIA All-Americans, two Frontier Conference Players of the Year, two NAIA First-Team All-Americans, and one WBCA First-Team All-American. He became the winningest coach in Rocky Women's Basketball program history in 2024, holding an overall record of 184-134 entering the 2025-26 season. He has led the Battlin' Bears to two Frontier Conference Championships (21-22, 24-25), one Frontier Conference Tournament Championship (21-22), and six NAIA National Tournament Appearances.
2022 was a season for the record books for Rocky hoops, as Keller led the Battlin' Bears to a Frontier Conference regular season and tournament championship, the Elite 8 National Tournament, set the school record for wins (29-5), consecutive wins with 15 straight wins, and the highest national ranking in school history (10th in the nation).
Coach Keller spent eight seasons assisting men’s basketball coach Bill Dreikosen and the Battlin’ Bears. During that time, the men’s basketball program won the Frontier Conference regular season championship, back-to-back Frontier Conference tournament championships, and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament three times, resulting in one NAIA Division I National Championship.
Keller, a 1996 graduate of Helena High School, was an all-state basketball player and played collegiately at Miles Community College and Montana Western, where he earned all-conference status. Keller helped Montana Western win the 1999 Frontier Conference Championship. His coaching career began at Montana Western, and he later moved on to be an assistant coach at Miles Community College. Keller spent two seasons at MCC before coming to Rocky Mountain College.
Keller earned a bachelor's of science degree from the University of Montana-Western.
Wes has two children, Hayden and Tucker.
