BILLINGS, Mont. – The Rocky Mountain College football team returns to action following its bye week with a trip to Havre, Montana to face Montana State University – Northern on Saturday. The second meeting between the two teams this season will kickoff at 1 p.m. from Blue Pony Stadium.

The Battlin' Bears enter Saturday with a 3-3 overall record and at 3-2 in Frontier Conference play. They received seven points in this week's NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll to sit among the other teams receiving votes. Rocky is 1-2 on the road this season and has alternated wins and losses in each of the past four games.
Rocky head to Havre second in the Frontier Conference in rushing at 219.8 yards per game. That average places the team 16th in the NAIA and they are 15th nationally with 1,319 total rushing yards. The Battlin' Bears throw for 189.3 yards per game – sixth in the Frontier – and they are third in the conference in total offense (409.2) and scoring offense at 30.3 points per game.
Defensively, Rocky is allowing 24.5 points per game to rank second in the Frontier and 29th in the NAIA. The opposition averages 391.8 total yards per game with 259.2 of those yards coming in the passing game. Rocky is 42nd in the nation with 10 total sacks and 28th in allowing 132.7 yards rushing per game.
The Battlin' Bears 17 created turnovers are the sixth-most in the country and the team is 25th in the NAIA in turnover margin. Rocky is second nationally by converting on 81.8 percent on fourth-down and they place 15th in the NAIA by averaging 23.0 yards per kickoff return.
Since 2004, Rocky and Northern have played 17 times and the Battlin' Bears are 14-13 in those games. The Lights have an 8-6 edge in games played in Havre during the time. Rocky has won five straight in the series and nine of the past 10, including a 32-25 win on September 2 in Billings.
