Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Rocky stays undefeated in conference play with win over Carroll College

BILLINGS, Mont. –  The No. 8 ranked Rocky Mountain College volleyball team (21-3, 7-0 FC) continue their streak of wins within the Frontier Conference with a victory over rival Carroll College.

Fresh off a pair of losses to nationally ranked teams last week in Iowa, the Battlin' Bears returned home still on top of the Frontier Conference and looking for another win.

Rocky took the first set 25-20. Carroll scored first, but that would be the last time during the set that they would have the lead. Rocky rocketed to a 9-3 lead and kept the lead the entire way through.

Carroll would never see a lead during the second set as Rocky almost immediately took a 10-1 lead. The Fighting Saints attempted a comeback, but it was more of the same story. The second set ended 25-20 in Rocky's favor too.

Carroll College was able to rally back in the third set. The two teams kept evenly paced at first until Carroll jumped ahead by five. Rocky was able to draw closer, but ultimately lost 21-25 as Carroll capitalized on their good fortune.

Rocky got back on track in the fourth set. Carroll scored first, but much like the first set, never saw the lead again. The Battlin' Bears took the fourth set 25-21. Rocky nabbed their seventh conference win of the season.

Olivia L'Ami would lead the team in kills with 15. Hailey Copinga would knock down 14 kills of her own with 10 digs.

Natalie Hilderman orchestrated 41 assists on the night.

Ruby Kallenbach would secure 21 digs while Krista Judisch would pull in 16.

Rocky will turn around and play another Frontier Conference foe, Montana Western, tomorrow. That action will kick off at 2 p.m.
