BILLINGS, Mont. – The No. 24 ranked Battlin' Bears secured a 67-60 victory over the No. 18 ranked Argos.
The Battlin' Bears jumped to a seven point lead in the final minutes of the first half and maintained a lead for the rest of the game.
It was a team effort with four Battlin' Bears scoring 10 or more points.
Alecia Chamberlin led the pack with a team-high 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Kloie Thatcher contributed 12 points with five steals.
Marissa Van Atta scored 11 points while
Markaela Francis added an additional 10 points and four assists.
The Battlin' Bears shot a 44.6% field goal percentage with 33.3% on three pointers. In comparison, Providence shot a 44% field goal percentage with 37.5% from beyond the arc.
Providence's Jenna Randich scored 21 points to lead the team. Tristan Murphy and Emilee Maldonado provided 12 points each.
Rocky will stay in Billings to play crosstown rival MSU-Billings in an exhibition match on Dec. 7. Action will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Alterowitz Gymnasium.
