BILLINGS, Mont. – The Battlin' Bears finished a season sweep of the Dickinson State Blue Hawks with a 91-52 win Saturday night in the final game of the 2018 Hampton Inn Green and Gold Classic.
Having previously beaten the Blue Hawks 77-64 in November, the Battlin' Bears were able to cruise to a victory that saw them hold the lead from tip to buzzer.
Shooting 51.5 percent from the field, Rocky drained 52.4 percent from beyond the arc. The Blue Hawks shot only a 33.3 percent field goal percentage with 26.9 percent on three pointers.
Jared Samuelson led the team in scoring with 29 points.
Craig Wilmore contributed an additional 12.
41 of Rocky's points came from off the bench.
Danny Betcher and Samuelson both pulled in nine rebounds.
Rocky advances to 10-4 overall and stays at 1-1 in the Frontier Conference. The Battlin' Bears will next play against Carroll College on Jan. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
