BILLINGS, Mont.– The Battlin' Bears lost for the second time this year against crosstown rival MSU-Billings on Saturday night.

A 19-2 run by the Yellowjackets (6-3, 2-0 GNAC) put Rocky (7-2, 1-1 FC) down early and proved to be insurmountable. The Battlin' Bears never regained the lead as MSU-Billings secured a 96-85 win. This game counts as an exhibition for the Battlin' Bears and will not go against Rocky's record.

Satchel McDonald led the way for the Battlin' Bears, shooting 71.4%, on his way to 15 points. The senior guard also provided six assists, five rebounds, and two steals. Ragen Shein scored 13 points while Clayton Ladine contributed another 12.

The Yellowjackets were slightly more accurate shooting with a 53.8% on field goals to Rocky's 50.8%. From beyond the arc, MSU-Billings knocked in 37% in comparison to Rocky's 36.8%.

The two teams were nearly even in terms of rebounds with just a 34-33 advantage in Rocky's favor. The Yellowjackets were able to pull in 10 steals in comparison to the Battlin' Bears who had seven.

MSU-Billings was led by Tyler Green who scored 34 points.

Rocky will travel next week to Chandler, Ariz., to participate in the 2018 Cactus Classic. Their first match will be against Ottawa (Ariz.) on Dec. 14 at noon.
