No. 15 Rocky Welcomes No. 13 Carroll and Montana Tech in Home Weekend

Frontier Conference lead on the line on Friday vs. Carroll

BILLINGS, Mont. – The 15th-ranked Rocky Mountain College women's basketball team remains at home this weekend to host a pair of Frontier Conference game. The Battlin' Bears host No. 13 Carroll is a game that will go a long way towards deciding the regular season title in the conference on Friday. Montana Tech comes to town on Saturday to complete the weekend's action.
 
Both games of the weekend will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Fortin Education Center.
 
SWX will broadcast Saturday's game live. SWX is available on Charter 503, over-the-air on 8.2 and on the Watch SWX app. Both of the weekend's game will also be available on the Rocky You Tube page and have live stats available. Rocky currently sits at 19-3 overall this season and having won six of the last seven games they have played. The Battlin' Bears are 9-3 in Frontier play to sit one-half game behind Carroll for the lead with six games remaining. Rocky and Carroll have split the previous two meeting this season, meaning Friday's winner will own the tiebreaker should they end the season with the same record.
 
The team's No 15 ranking is the highest ranking in school history. They moved up three spots in the poll that was released on January 30 to set the new mark. Rocky earned 120 points in the poll. They have now been ranked in three consecutive polls for the first time in school history.
 
Rocky's 19 wins this season are the most the team has recorded in a campaign during the 15 seasons of available records. They have guaranteed the programs first winning season since 2011-12 and just the second in the 15 years of known history.
 
Rocky is currently scoring 69.23 points per game and shooting 43.7 percent from the field to rank second in the Frontier in each category. They are also second in the conference by making 7.18 threes per game and shooting 34.5 percent from deep. The team records 14.68 assists per game and they lead the Frontier with a 1.13 assist-to-turnover ratio.
 
The Battlin' Bears are the NAIA leader in scoring defense by holding the opposition to 48.68 points per game. They are sixth nationally by holding opponents to 33.4 percent from the floor while ranking third in the country as opponents are making 23.7 percent on 3-point attempts.
 
Brooke Jones continues to lead Rocky in scoring at 11.6 points per game after scoring in double figures a team-high 15 times this season. Jones shoots 54.4 percent from the field and grabs 6.3 rebounds per game. Her 5.14 defensive rebounds per game ranks 44th in the NAIA.
 
Mikayla Jones is scoring 11.3 points per game with four 20-point outings and 14 games in double figures. She shoots 33.3 percent from deep and 83.7 percent at the foul line. Jones leads the team with 49 steals to rank 31st in the NAIA and her 2.28 steals per game is 33rd nationally.
 
Hailee Farstveet has scored in double figures in six straight games to raise her season average over two points to 9.0 points per game. She has a 3-pointer made during every game of her scoring trend to raise her up to 35.7 percent on the season. Farstveet has 81 assists to lead the team and rank 32nd in the NAIA while placing 35th in the country at 3.68 assists per game.
 
Kiana Corpus continues to rank second in the NAIA with her 2.79 assist-to-turnover ratio. Alexi Smith is 14th in the country by hitting 43.4 percent from three and she is 37th with a 1.80 A/TO ratio. Justyn Juhl has 21 blocked shots to rank 49th in the NAIA.
