DILLON, Mont., – The No. 6th ranked Rocky Mountain College women's volleyball team opened Frontier Conference play this week with a three set win over University of Montana-Western.
Montana Western was unable to find a footing in the match. Rocky knocked down the first two sets 25-18 and 25-19. The Battlin' Bears pressed on the attack and ended the match with a final set of 25-11.
The Battlin' Bears collected their eighth sweep of 2018. They are now 12-1 on the season.
Natalie Hilderman orchestrated 31 assists and 17 digs.
Olivia L'Ami had 9 kills.
Daniella Russell and
Miranda Gallagher both secured 8 kills.
Hailey Copinga nabbed an additional 8 kills of her own while contributing 18 digs on defense.
Ruby Kallenbach collected 18 digs on defense.
Rocky will return home to play crosstown rival, MSU Billings, on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Fortin Education Center.
