KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Battlin' Bears men's soccer team secured a 1-0 victory over the Oregon Tech Owls.
Rocky (5-2, 1-1 CCC) having lost to Southern Oregon yesterday, bounced back today with a win against Cascade Conference opponent, Oregon Tech (2-3-1, 1-1 CCC).
The Battlin' Bears and Oregon Tech kept each other scoreless through the first half of the match.
In the 62nd minute,
Mason Luse, off an outside pass from
Milo Downey, found the back of the net from the inside of the box.
Off of that point, No. 9 ranked Rocky was able to hold off the Owls and grab their fifth win of the season.
Goalkeeper
Kristofer Wennin allowed no goals and managed to secure two saves.
Rocky had a 5-9 shot disadvantage to Oregon Tech. Oregon Tech had seven corner kicks while Rocky had none.
The Battlin' Bears will return home to face College of Idaho next Saturday at Wendy's Field. The game will start at 3:30 p.m.
