BUTTE, Mont., – In a battle of two nationally ranked Frontier Conference opponents, No. 6 ranked Rocky Mountain College swept No. 20 ranked Montana Tech.
The match is the ninth sweep for the Battlin' Bears (15-1, 3-0) on the season. The fifteenth victory of the season, Rocky hands the Orediggers (11-7, 3-1) their first conference loss on the season.
The Battlin' Bears have yet to lose since the opening day of their season on Aug. 15. Their current win streak sits at 14.
Olivia L'Ami paved the way for the Battlin' Bears with nine kills.
Naomi Bad Bear added an additional eight.
Natalie Hilderman orchestrated 26 assists for Rocky.
Ruby Kallenbach and
Hailey Copinga each contributed 13 digs on the night.
Rocky will return home for a pair of conference match ups in Fortin Education Center. The Battlin' Bears will face off against Providence on Thursday at 7 p.m. The next match after that will be Saturday at 2 p.m. when they play MSU-Northern.
