BILLINGS, Mont. – Shooting 54 percent from the floor, the No. 22 ranked Battlin' Bears cruised to a 72-55 victory over the Montana Tech Orediggers.
Tied at half, the Battlin' Bears (12-4, 3-1 FC) jumped to a 21 point over the Orediggers (10-5,0-4 FC) by the end of third period and never looked back.
Markaela Francis paved the way for Rocky with 17 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
Three other Battlin' Bears scored in the double digits.
Justyn Juhl scored 13 points with nine rebounds.
Brooke Jones provided 15 points while
Antuanisha Wright contributed 12.
The Battlin' Bears out-rebounded the Orediggers 35-23. Both teams pulled in 10 steals.
Montana Tech's Mollie Peoples scored 13 points while Dani Urick provided an additional 11.
Rocky will travel to Dillon, Mont. next week to play the No. 4 ranked Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 10.
