BILLINGS, Mont. – Despite staying with No. 11 ranked Eastern Oregon into double overtime, Rocky Mountain College was unable to overcome a pair of goals from the Mountaineers' Megan Farrington.
Farrington knocked the ball into the net unassisted in the fifth minute to put the Mountaineers up by a goal early.

Lauryn Gamache responded in the 41st minute with a goal of her own. Gamache powered a ball into the top of the net from more than 20 yards out to tie the game at 1-1 heading into the half.

Despite the Battlin' Bears holding a 9-4 shot advantage in the second period, neither team was able to score again in regulation.
In the second overtime period during the game's 101st minute, Farrington clinched the game winning goal. Taking a pass from teammate Mackinley Gregus, Farrington powered the ball over goalkeeper
Maia Wetzel's outstretched arms and into the top of the net.
Wetzel finished the game with two saves and two goals allowed while Eastern Oregon's Cydni Cottrell pulled in six saves with one goal allowed.
Rocky finished the match with a 17-12 shot advantage and led 7-3 in corner kicks.
The Battlin' Bears will return to Wendy's Field on Sunday to host College of Idaho.
