HELENA, Mont. – No. 16 ranked Rocky Mountain College was swept by Carroll College Friday night in their first conference loss of the 2019 season. Carroll won in 25-19, 25-17, and 25-21.
It is the first loss against the Fighting Saints for the Battlin' Bears since a four set defeat in 2016.
No Battlin' Bears were able to score in the double digits. The pair of
Miranda Gallagher and
Monique Rodriguez both knocked down eight kills while
Morgan Allen recorded seven of her own.
Natalie Hilderman contributed 27 assists while
Ayla Embry led the team's defensive efforts with 16 digs.
Carroll College's Lexi Mikkelsen recorded a match-high 16 kills. Taelyr Krantz had 11 kills while Sophia Spoja recorded 10. Ali Williams posted 45 assists while Ayla Carpenter had 25 digs.
Rocky will next travel to Dillon, Montana to play Montana Western on October 26.
