SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Rocky Mountain College's
Alexis Robbins kept the Battlin' Bears' season alive with a game-winning goal in double overtime to defeat College of Idaho 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the 2019 Cascade Collegiate Conference's Women's Soccer Championship.
A stiff defensive effort on both sides of the field kept the match scoreless through regulation. While the Battlin' Bears outshot the Yotes 15-4 before overtime, both teams recorded only a single shot on goal in the first overtime period.
In the 107th minute, Rocky's
Alexis Robbins took advantage of a rebound to knock in the game-winning goal and advance the Battlin' Bears to the tournament's semifinals.
Ellen Hunsaker was credited with the assist.

Maia Wetzel allowed no goals with four saves while the Yotes' Kylee Atkins had seven saves and a single goal allowed.
The Battlin' Bears finished the match with an 18-5 edge in shots and led 2-0 in corner kicks.
The Battlin' Bears will next play Southern Oregon at 7 p.m. (PT) in the semifinals of the 2019 CCC tournament.
