BILLINGS, Mont. – Rocky Mountain College defeated Yellowstone Christian 89-78 on Tuesday evening. Leading from tip to buzzer, the Battlin' Bears managed to stay ahead of a late surge from the Centurions in the final minutes.
The Battlin' Bears finished with a 49.2 field goal percentage. Rocky sank 13-of-27 from deep with 10 of those scored in the first period. Yellowstone was 43.1 percent from the floor and shot 32 percent from beyond the arc.
Four Battlin' Bears scored in the double digits.
Kelson Eiselein paved the way with 16 points while
Grant Wallace recorded 15 and a team-high seven rebounds.
Sam Vining had 13 points while
Kalvin Bowen posted 10 of his own.
Clayton Ladine recorded nine points with eight assists.
Yellowstone Christian's Devin Jones had 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists while Derrian Reed scored 16 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
The Battlin' Bears will next play MSU-Billings in an exhibition at First Interstate Arena at MetraPark on November 23.
