BILLINGS, Mont. – The Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears defeated the Yellowstone Christian College Centurions 80-38 Tuesday night.
The Battlin' Bears outscored the Centurions 25-9 in the first period to establish a comfortable lead for the rest of the way. Rocky's
Mackenzie Dethman proved to be a major factor with 21 points and 10 boards which led the Battlin' Bears in both categories.
Destinee Pointer posted 17 points, seven rebounds, and four steals while
Markaela Francis had 14 points and eight rebounds.
The Centurions were led by Hanna Hayes' 14 points and 10 rebounds. Both totals were team-highs.
Shooting 45.7 percent from the floor, Rocky finished the night having landed 8-of-21 from deep. Yellowstone Christian College shot a 20.6 field goal percentage and hit only 16.1 percent from deep.
The Battlin' Bears will next host Northwest University at Alterowitz Gym on November 21.
