GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The No. 19 ranked University of Providence Argos swept Rocky Mountain College in the Frontier Conference Volleyball Tournament's semifinals.
Ahead just 19-17 late in the first set, Providence separated from the Battlin' Bears on a 6-1 run to take the set 25-18. It was a similar story in the second set as the Argos led 20-19 before claiming the set 25-21 on a 5-2 run.
In the final set, Rocky nearly avoided the sweep as the two teams traded blows with each other late in the match. The match was tied at 23-23, 24-24, and 25-25 before a pair of errors by the Battlin' Bears gave Providence a 27-25 win and the semifinal victory.

Daniella Russell's nine kills led the team's scoring efforts while teammate
Miranda Gallagher had eight.
Morgan Allen had five kills and five blocks.
Natalie Hilderman contributed 28 assists while
Ayla Embry had 22 digs.
Kelsey Shaver posted a double-double with a team-high 18 kills and 14 digs. Jensyn Turner was the match's other double-digit scorer with 12 kills. Cydney Finberg-Roberts contributed 44 assists and 10 digs while Sacha Legros had a team-high 25 digs.
Providence will next play in the 2019 Frontier Conference Championship against No. 17 ranked Montana Tech tonight at 7 p.m. Winner of the match will receive an automatic bid to the 2019 NAIA National Championship tournament.
