BILLINGS, Mont., November 7, 2019 – Bouncing back from consecutive losses last week, Rocky Mountain College recorded a three set sweep of the MSU-Northern Skylights Thursday night.
MSU-Northern opened the match on a 4-0 run, but the Battlin' Bears responded by jumping ahead with a 20-5 run. The Skylights battled back, but Rocky's lead proved too great as the Battlin' Bears set the tone for the match with a 25-20 victory in the first set. Rocky took the second set in 25-11 before earning a 25-18 win in the third set to complete the sweep.
The Battlin' Bears were led by the pair of
Miranda Gallagher and
Morgan Allen who each recorded eight kills and two blocks.
Daniella Russell knocked down an additional six kills.
Natalie Hilderman posted 26 assists while
Ayla Embry had 20 digs.
The Skylights' Rylee Burmester posted a match-high 13 kills in addition to 12 digs. Elissa Lind recorded seven kills with a team-high 15 digs. Hailey Warren had 18 assists.
Rocky will host University of Providence for their final match of the 2019 regular season on Saturday at 7 p.m.
