BILLINGS, Mont. – It came down to an overtime period, but Rocky Mountain College was unable to outlast crosstown rival MSU Billings in an 89-86 loss on Friday night. The game counted as an exhibition for both teams.

Rocky (4-2, 1-1 Frontier) entered the half up by two points after leading by as much as nine, the largest margin of the game, earlier in the first period. In the final minute of the second period, Clayton Ladine drained a three pointer to give the Battlin' Bears a two point edge at 81-79. MSU Billings' (4-4, 0-2 GNAC) Brendan Howard replied with a pair of free throws with 17 seconds left in the period to send the game into overtime.

The Yellowjackets outscored Rocky 8-5 in the extra period with all five of the Battlin' Bears' points coming from Kelson Eiselein.

The Battlin' Bears finished the night shooting 43 percent from the field and landing 13-of-36 from beyond the arc. MSU Billings shot 43.7 percent and held just a 43-42 edge in rebounds.
