HAVRE, Mont. – The No. 22 ranked Battlin' Bears found rhythm in the second half on their way to a 79-65 win over the MSU-Northern Lights.
The Battlin' Bears struggled initially. Rocky hit 33.3 percent from the floor and sank just 1 of 11 threes in the first period. As a result, Rocky was down nine points at halftime.
The second half was a different story as Rocky shot 72 percent from the field and 71.4 from beyond the arc to finish the game with a 14 point lead.
Craig Wilmore's season-high 23 points led the Battlin' Bears while
Jared Samuelson scored 18 points. Both recorded seven rebounds.
Danny Betcher posted 12 points with nine rebounds.
Brandon The Boy recorded eight assists.
Rebounds proved crucial as Rocky held a 36-26 advantage in boards.
The Lights were led by Adam Huse who scored 16 points. Mascio McCadney had 12 points with four rebounds and three assists.
Rocky will play Providence tomorrow in Great Falls, Mont., at 7:30 p.m.
