KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Keeping pace with the No. 1 ranked Georgetown Tigers at the half, the Battlin' Bears fell behind in the second period in a 77-57 loss to end their season.
Down by 12 with 10 minutes left in the first period, a three pointer by
Satchel McDonald kickstarted a 15-1 run by Rocky and the Battlin' Bears entered the half tied with the No. 1 team in the nation 35-35.
Cold shooting shifted the momentum shifted in the second period. After shooting 46.7 from the floor in the first period, the Battlin' Bears land just 22.2 percent in the second. Most of their trouble came from beyond the arc where Rocky was good for just 3-of-19 after the half.
Georgetown won the battle for boards with a 45-40 advantage in rebounds.
Outscored 42-22 in the second period, Rocky could find no answers for Georgetown's Eljay Cowherd. The Tiger posted a triple double performance with 28 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds.

Jared Samuelson scored 14 points with five rebounds.
Craig Wilmore finished with 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
The Battlin' Bears finish the season 19-13 overall and third in the Frontier Conference.
