BILLINGS, Mont. – Rocky Mountain College held University of Providence scoreless in a 4-0 non-conference victory Saturday evening.
Playing in their home opener, the Battlin' Bears offense never let up with a 20-1 shot advantage over the Argos.
Rocky's first goal came unassisted from
Mhari Smith in the 11th minute.
Alexis Robbins found the back of the net during the 31st minute to put the Battlin' Bears up by two heading into the half.
Lauryn Gamache scored the final two goals in the second half off assists from
Kayla Mader and
Tiara Duford.
Providence's Dakota Neumann pulled in nine saves with four goals allowed. Rocky's goalkeeper
Maia Wetzel had a single save with no goals allowed.
Rocky held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Battlin' Bears will next play Multnomah on Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. as part of Rocky's Homecoming and Hall of Fame Weekend.
