BILLINGS, Mont. – No. 23 ranked Rocky Mountain College opened the 2019 season with a sweep of Montana Western in 25-9, 26-24, and 25-17.
The Battlin' Bears' scoring efforts were led by
Morgan Allen's 11 kills and four blocks which tied her career high in both categories. Allen had a .364 hitting percentage.
With a .381 hitting percentage, senior
Miranda Gallagher knocked down nine kills on the night.
Natalie Hilderman posted 28 assists and 13 digs.
Naomi Bad Bear had four blocks while libero
Ayla Embry led the defensive efforts with 20 digs.
Montana Western was led by Abbee Croninger who had 7 kills. McKenna Fink contributed 11 assists while Tannah Sellers had 25 digs.
The Battlin' Bears will return to the Fortin Education Center on Saturday at 7 p.m. for a match against Carroll College.
