DILLON, Mont. – Rocky Mountain College trailed from tip to buzzer in a 79-60 loss to the Montana Western Bulldogs Saturday night.
Outscoring the Battlin' Bears 23-10 in the first ten minutes of play, the Bulldogs jumped to an early lead and managed to maintain a comfortable distance the rest of the night. The deficit extended to as many as 24 points in the second period.
The Battlin' Bears finished the night shooting 35.4 percent from the floor which included a strong 50 percent in the second half. Rocky landed 25 percent at the 3-point range. The Bulldogs, on the other hand, shot 46.8 percent on the night and 42.3 percent from deep.

Grant Wallace posted a team-high 20 points and a team-high seven boards for the Battlin' Bears while teammate
Clayton Ladine scored 11 points.
Five Bulldogs scored in the double digits. Connor Burkhar scored a team-high 17 points while Cedric posted the night's only double double with 10 points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Tanner Haverfield scored 16 points while Derek Durocher recorded 11. James Jones had 12 points and eight assists.
Montana Western held a 42-32 advantage in boards.
The Battlin' Bears will return home to play University of Providence on Feb. 6 in the Fortin Education Center.
