BILLINGS, Mont.– Led by a 24-point and 11 rebound double double performance from
Grant Wallace, Rocky Mountain College defeated Yellowstone Christian College 84-72 on Friday.
The Battlin' Bears finished the night shooting 49.2 percent from the field, including 32 percent from beyond the arc, but only landed 60 percent at the free-throw line. In comparison, the Centurions shot 38.7 percent from the field and 29.2 percent on 3-point attempts.
Beyond Wallace's double double performance,
Darius Henderson had 18 points while
Sam Vining scored 15.
Clayton Ladine was Rocky's other double digit scorer with 10 points.
Yellowstone Christian's Derrian Reed had a game-high 25 points while Devin Jones scored 13. Chris Pendley added an additional 12. Pendley and Noble each had a team-high seven boards.
Rocky held a 43-34 advantage on the glass.
The Battlin' Bears will next travel to Havre, Mont., to take on MSU-Northern on Feb. 21.
