BILLINGS, Mont., December 30, 2021- Rocky Mountain College's men were ahead in a close contest at half, but ultimately fell in overtime 77 to 79, to the Blue Hawks. This was Rocky's only contest in the Green and Gold Classic. Rocky's men fall to 6-7, 0-2.
Rocky was led on offense by Beau Santistevan, who had a 22 points and 13 rebounds, to record a double double. Max Stephens scored another 16 points and pulled down nine boards. Abdul Bah made the shot to send the game to overtime. Bah had 13 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Rocky shot 37.8 percent from the field, 15 percent from deep, and 72 percent from the line.
Dickinson State University was led by Cobe Begger, with 24 points, 11 rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Aushanti Potts-Woods added 16 points, one rebound, and three steals. The Blue Hawks had 10 men score in the contest and shot 46.7 percent from the floor, 42.9 percent from the arc, and 66.7 percent from the line.
Rocky had 20 points off turnovers to Dickinson's 13 points. The Battlin' Bears had 36 points in the paint, and the Blue Hawks had 34 points.
The Battlin' Bears begin the final stretch of Frontier Conference play on Thursday January 6 at 7 p.m. on First Interstate Bank Court at the Fortin Education Center. Rocky will host MSU- Northern.
