BILLINGS, Mont., December 30, 2021- The Battlin' Bears women started their only contest in the Green & Gold Classic, with an explosive first quarter of 24 points, and kept their foot on the gas to win 87 to 66. The Rocky win takes the team to 12-1, 2-0. This is the Rocky women's tenth win in a row.
 
Rocky was led on offense by N' Dea Flye, who was two steals away from a triple double. Flye contributed 25 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, a season high eight steals, and two blocks. Kloie Thatcher scored another 21 points, five assists, one steal, and one block. The Battlin' Bears shot 52.3 percent from the field, 52.4 percent from the arc, and 66.7 percent from the line.
 
Dickinson State University was led by Courtney Olson with 17 points, and three rebounds. McKenzie Johnson added 13 points, one rebound, and a steal. Shali Sheridan also added 13 points and three rebounds. The Blue Hawks shot 41.7 percent from the field, 53.3 percent from deep, and 100 percent from the charity stripe.
 
Rocky had 23 points off turnovers to Dickinson's 16 points. The Battlin' Bears scored 34 points in the paint to the Blue Hawks' 28 points.
 
The Battlin' Bears begin the final stretch of Frontier Conference play on a 10 game win streak. Rocky will host MSU-Northern on Thursday January 6 at 5 p.m. on First Interstate Bank Court at the Fortin Education Center.
