The Battlin' Bears Men achieved their second tie of the season today.
Milo Downey's goal in the first period wasn't enough to power through the Northwest University Men.
Rocky had over twice as many shots and shots on goal as the Eagles, with 32 to 15 shots and 15 to six shots on goal. The Battlin' Bears brought pressure all game, but an impressive showing by Alexander Thiehofe (14 saves), kept the Rocky Men at bay.
Downey leads the Battlin' Bears with five goals. Downey was one of seven Rocky student athletes to play all 110 minutes.
Ryan Cornwall continued to be the anchor of the Rocky defense. Cornwall had five saves on the day, and the Rocky defense held the Eagles to only six shots on goal.
The Battlin' Bears host Southern Oregon next Friday, for the first game of the year on Wendy's Field.
