BUTTE, Mont., January 20, 2022- The Battlin' Bears women cruised to win 71 to 48 against Montana Tech (11-11, 2-5). The Battlin' Bears are now 17-2, 6-1 on the year.

Rocky was led on offense by N' Dea Flye, who had a game high 21 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Butte native, Kloie Thatcher had 11 points, three assists, and four steals. The Battlin' Bears shot 43.8 percent from the field, 38.1 percent from the arc, and 58.3 percent from the line.

Montana Tech was led by Mollie Peoples with 14 points and one rebound. Brooke Heggie added 10 points and six rebounds. The Orediggers shot 33.3 percent from the field, 44.4 percent from deep, and 87.5 percent from the charity stripe.

The Battlin' Bears had 20 points off turnovers to the Orediggers' five points. Rocky had 32 points in the paint to Tech's 12 points. Rocky held the lead for over 90 percent of the game.

The Battlin' Bears travel to Havre, Montana to take on the Skylights of Montana State University-Northern at 2 p.m. on Saturday January 22.
