HAVRE, Mont., January 22, 2022- Rocky Mountain College's men were down 24 to 28 at half, but the Battlin' Bears were clutch down the stretch to take the lead for the final time with five seconds on the clock. Rocky won 65 to 63.  Rocky's men go to 10-10, 3-5.
Rocky was led on offense by Jesse Owens, who had 16 points, four rebounds, and three assists. The men from Hamilton, New Zealand, Kael Robinson and Maxim Stephens both had 11 points, and Stephens led Rocky with eight rebounds. Abdul Bah had nine points and hit the go ahead shot with five seconds left, to put Rocky in the lead. Rocky shot 42.4 percent from the field, 46.2 percent from deep, and 75 percent from the line.
MSU-Northern (16-7, 4-4) were led by David Harris, with a game high 20 points, four rebounds, three assists, and a steal. Mascio McCadney added 14 points, one rebound, and one steal. Tanner McCliment-Call added 11 points and eight rebounds. The Lights shot 42.1 percent from the floor, 24 percent from the arc, and 90 percent from the line.
Rocky had 14 points off turnovers to Northern's 10 points. The Battlin' Bears had 22 points in the paint, and the Lights had 26 points. There were 6 ties and 2 lead changes, and neither team held a double digit lead all night.
The Battlin' Bears host Carroll College on Thursday at 7 p.m. on First Interstate Bank Court in the Fortin Education Center.
