DILLON, Mont., January 29, 2022- The Battlin' Bears were down by three going into half, but fell to Montana Western 81 to 65. The Battlin' Bears are now 10-12, 3-7 on the year.

Rocky was led on offense by Abdul Bah, who had 19 points and three rebounds. Beau Santistevan added 18 points and four rebounds. Jesse Owens contributed 14 points, three rebounds, and three assists. The Battlin' Bears shot 39.1 percent from the field, 31.6 percent from the arc, and 69.2 percent from the line.

Montana Western (15-10, 4-6) was led by Jalen Hodges with 16 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Jamal Stephenson added 15 points and three rebounds. Max Clark added 14 points, six rebounds, and seven assists. The Bulldogs shot 57.4 percent from the field, 56.5 percent from deep, and 85.7 percent from the charity stripe.

Rocky had six points off turnovers to the Bulldogs' nine points. Rocky had 34 points in the paint to Western's 30 points. Rocky had six steals, and Western had three.

The Battlin' Bears travel to Great Falls, Montana to take on the University of Providence, Argos at 7 p.m. on Thursday February 3.
