Rocky Men’s Basketball Kicks Their Season Off In the Providence Tourney

BILLINGS, Mont. Oct 26, 2022- Rocky Men's Basketball will begin their season today against Portland Bible College in Great Falls, then play SAIT Friday morning in the Providence Tourney. 
Preseason Outlook: Rocky Men's Basketball returns seven of the eight players who started in a game last season, led by Preseason Frontier All- Conference selections sophomore guard Jesse Owens and junior forward Maxim Stephens, along with reigning Frontier Conference Freshman of the Year Kael Robinson. Senior guards Nick Hart and Tayshawun Bradford, along with senior forward Beau Santistevan played in crucial roles last season and will be leaders for the Battlin' Bears coming into this season. Transfers Elliott Brooks (North Arkansas College) and Kace Kitchel (Lindenwood University) will look to play a big role for Rocky this season as well. Rocky was picked to finish fifth in the Frontier Conference Preseason Poll. The Battlin' Bears will be led by Coach Bill Dreikosen entering his 23rd season as the head coach of the Battlin' Bears. 

Last Matchup: The Battlin' Bears hosted Portland Bible College in 2019, a game in which they won 94-57.
