BILLINGS, Mont. Oct 28, 2022- The Battlin' Bears look to end the season on a high note as they host Carroll College on Friday for Senior Day for the women, and end with the men hosting Walla Walla on Sunday for their Senior Day.
Battlin' Bears Recap: Women's soccer (5-8-3 , 3-6-2 conf.) rides a three game winning streak going into their final match against Carroll College, defeating Multnomah 5-1 last Friday and Warner Pacific University 2-0. Brynn Klinefelter was named Rize Laboratory Offensive Player of the Week after her three goal performance against Multnomah. The men's team (8-6-1, 6-5 conf.) split their matches on the road last weekend, defeating Multnomah 3-2 and falling to #19 Warner Pacific University 1-3.
Scouting the Fighting Saints: The women's teams will begin play at 1:00 P.M. Carroll College (8-5-3, 5-4-1 conf.) is coming off of a tough stretch against two of the top teams in the Cascade, falling to College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon last weekend.. The Fighting Saints are led by the Cascade Conference leader in goals, senior forward Blair Stapleton, who has scored 11 goals on the season so far and has three game winners. Senior goalkeeper Sarah Conway anchors the Carroll defense, behind her 94 saves on the season (Third in the CCC) and .855 save percentage (Fifth in the CCC). Carroll College is coached by David Thorvilson in his 16th season.
The men's teams will follow beginning at 3:30 P.M. Carroll College (5-8-1, 4-7 conf.) will look to bounce back after two 4-0 losses against College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon last weekend. The Fighting Saints are led by senior forward Rory Bloy, who leads the team with five goals on the season and is the team's leading shot taker. Junior goalkeeper Ryan Croft and freshman Mathias Gravesen have each played in seven games and totaled 36 saves in their time played as they have alternated starts. Carroll College is coached by head coach and program founder Doug Mello in his 9th season.

Scouting the Wolves: Walla Walla (0-12, 0-10 conf.) has had a season to forget so far, being held to only four goals all season. Senior midfielder Pedro Reyes and freshman rightback Donavan Ruelas each have a goal a piece to lead the offense. Goalkeeping duties have been held down by sophomore goalkeeper Diego Molina, who has totalled 73 saves with a .603 save percentage.
