BILLINGS, Mont., Oct 6, 2022- Rocky Mountain College Volleyball (9-11, 2-1 conf.) hosts Montana Western and University of Providence Friday and Saturday in the Fortin Education Center.

Recap From Last Week: The Battlin' Bears continued Frontier Conference play on the road last weekend. They began the weekend by defeating Carroll College in Helena 3-0 and falling to No. 19 Montana Tech 0-3. Rocky currently sits in second place in the Frontier Conference standings after a 2-1 start coming into this weekend.

Scouting the Bulldogs: Montana Western (9-11, 1-3 conf.) have had an up and down beginning to the season. Rocky last matched up Western in the Frontier Conference Preseason Tournament, where the Battlin' Bears halted an eight match win streak by the Bulldogs, defeating Western in five sets. Western has since gone 1-3 in conference play, defeating University of Providence in three sets for their lone conference victory. The Bulldogs are led by redshirt junior outside hitter KayLee Kopp (2.62 k/s), sophomore setter Kaylee Fritz (8.17 a/s), and sophomore libero Kelsey Goddard (4.98 d/s). 

Western is coached by Katie Lovett in her fourth season as head coach for the bulldogs.

Scouting the Argos: University of Providence (7-15, 0-4 conf.) come to Billings looking for their first conference win of the season. The Argos, the Frontier Conference preseason favorites, will look to bounce back after falling to the Battlin' Bears in four sets during the Frontier Conference Preseason Tournament. Providence is led by junior outside hitter Jenna Thorne (2.96 k/s), freshman setter Bella Thompson (6.87 a/s), and 
sophomore libero Taylor Christensen (4.53 d/s).

The Argos are coached by Arunas Duda in his eighteenth season as head coach.
