BILLINGS, Mont. Nov. 10, 2022- Rocky Volleyball enters the Frontier Conference Tournament as a two seed as they travel down to Butte for a chance at a conference tournament championship. 

Regular Season Recap: The Battlin' Bears finish the regular season 18-14 (8-2 in conference). 11 of Rocky's 14 losses this season were to Top-25 ranked opponents, including their only two conference losses both being to a ranked Montana Tech squad. The Battlin' Bears smothered their conference opponents, as all eight of the Battlin' Bears conference wins were won in three or four sets. 

Regular Season Stat Leaders:

Digs per Set: Ayla Embry (7.09, Conference and National Leader), Brooke Ark (2.90), Blythe Sealey (2.54)

Assists per Set: Blythe Sealey (9.87, Conference Leader)

Kills per Set: Makenna Bushman (2.74, 7th in the Frontier), Bella Bryan (2.47), Rhiannon Nez (2.18).

Hitting Percentage: Rhiannon Nez (.288, Conference Leader), Taylor Wolf (.207), Kyra Oakland (.165).

Blocks per Set: Rhiannon Nez (1.09, 3rd in the Frontier), Kyra Oakland (0.81), Taylor Wolf (0.53). 

Service Aces: Hayley Bretz (24, 6th in the Frontier), Madeline Gilder (20), Blythe Sealey (20).

Tournament Schedule: The Battlin' Bears receive a bye for the first round of games for finishing second in the Frontier Conference, along with the one-seeded Montana Tech. Tech will play the lowest remaining seed after the first round of matches, while the Battlin' Bears will match up against the highest remaining seed.

The Tournament will kick off with No. 4 seeded MSU-Northern playing No. 5 seeded University of Providence at 11:00 am on Friday. The following quarterfinal matchup will be with No. 3 seeded Carroll College facing off against No. 6 seeded Montana Western at 1:00 pm.

No. 1 seeded Montana Tech will then host the lowest remaining seed from the quarterfinals at 5:00 pm on Friday evening, with Rocky taking on the highest remaining seed at 7:00 pm.  

Winners of Friday evening's semifinals games will face off for the Conference Tournament Championship on Saturday, November 13th at 2:00 pm. The winner of the conference tournament will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA National Volleyball Championship.
