LEWISTON, Idaho. Nov. 4, 2022- Rocky Men's Basketball (3-0) will travel to Lewiston, Idaho to take on Park University-Gilbert and Lewis-Clark State College in the Clearwater River Casino & Lodge Classic.
Recap From Last Week: The Battlin' Bears capped off 3-0 start to the season with a 120-84 victory over The King's University on Sunday. The Battlin' Bears start out the season averaging 111.7 points per game as a team, led by transfer guard Elliott Brooks, who was named Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week after averaging 18.3 points, 4 assists, and 2.3 steals per game, while shooting 65.2% from three point range (15-23).

Scouting the Buccaneers: Park-Gilbert finished last season 6-22, but that matters little, as the Buccaneers return no starters from last season's squad. The Buccaneers began their season with an exhibition against Idaho State University, then played their first recorded match yesterday against Lewis-Clark State College, falling 57-90. The Buccaneers are coached by Gordan Stubblefield in his fourth season.

Scouting the Warriors: Lewis-Clark State College (1-1) began their season facing off against No. 1 ranked Arizona Christian, falling 54-73, then took down Park-Gilbert Thursday evening 90-57. Lewis-Clark State finished last season 22-11, falling to University of Jamestown in the Opening Round last season. The Warriors return two starters from last season's squad, including 2021 All-CCC First Team sophomore guard Oreon Coutney (10.8 ppg, 6.9 rpg) and sophomore guard Silas Bennion (8.8 ppg, 4.0 apg, 5.1 rpg). The Warriors are coached by Austin Johnson in his fifth season.
