Rocky Men’s Basketball Takes First Loss of the Season 60-70 to Lewis-Clark State College

LEWISTON, Idaho. Nov. 5, 2022- Rocky Men's Basketball took their first loss Saturday evening 60-70 to Lewis-Clark State College in the Clearwater River Casino & Lodge Classic in Lewiston, Idaho.

The Battlin' Bears took a 27-26 lead into halftime, but six threes and almost 60% shooting from the field in the second half for the Warriors propelled them to a 10 point victory.

The Battlin' Bears only attempted two free throws the entire game, while shooting 35.7% from three point range and 36% from the field. Kael Robinson led the Battlin' Bears with 14 points and five rebounds. Cade Tyson and Tayshawun Bradford each tallied 11 points off the bench and Nick Hart grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss.

"We didn't have a good flow offensively most of the game." Coach Bill Dreikosen said. "Guys played pretty hard but gave up too many offensive boards. Even with all of that, we still had opportunities late in the second half and just didn't capitalize on them."

The Warriors were led by 24 points and six rebounds from Davian Brown, while Keegan Crosby finished with 14 points and eight rebounds.

The Battlin' Bears will be back home to host MSU Billings on Tuesday in an exhibition match in the Fortin Education Center.
