Rocky Women Fall 1-0 to Northwest University in CCC Tournament

EUGENE, Ore. Nov. 8, 2022- The eighth seeded Rocky Mountain College Women's Soccer team put together a hard fought contest with the top-seeded Northwest University Eagles, but ultimately fell 1-0 Tuesday afternoon to put an end to their season.

The Battlin' Bears outshot the Eagles in the first half 4-3, holding Northwest without a shot on goal in the first half. Junior forward Anna Lau came off the bench for Northwest in the second half and found the back of the net in the 59th minute on the first shot on goal of the game for the Eagles to give them a 1-0 lead, which they would hold onto through the final. 

Brynn Klinefelter led the Battlin' Bears with three shots, while Tara Appleby had two of Rocky's six total shots on the day. 

Rocky finishes the season 5-9-4, led by three all-conference performers in Nina Rogner, Maja Albertsen, and Shaney McCabe.
