CHANDLER, Ariz. Dec. 19, 2022- Rocky Women's Basketball (6-3) will travel to Chandler, Arizona for the 2022 Cactus Classic starting on Tuesday. A full tournament schedule, as well as live stream and live stats links for every game in the tournament can be found HERE.

Battlin' Bears Recap: The Battlin' Bears come into the tournament without playing a game of record since their December 3rd victory over University of Providence. The Battlin' Bears played in an exhibition against MSU Billings on December 8th, which they lost 78-44 in Alterowitz Gym.

Scouting the Redhawks: Benedictine University at Mesa has begun their season 2-7, with their only wins this season coming over OUAZ in their first game of the season and a victory over Park University-Gilbert in their most recent game. 

The Redhawks are led by junior guard Elise Young (17.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.3 spg), sophomore forward Dyamond Butler-Worley (11.7 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.0 spg), and junior forward Nyah Henderson (11.1 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.7 spg). The Redhawks are averaging 65.2 points per game, while allowing 72.3 points per game.

Benedictine University at Mesa is coached by Brian Hutchins in his sixth season.

Scouting the Hawks: San Diego Christian College has begun their season 3-9, including losing eight of their last nine contests. 

The Hawks are led by senior guard Keren Hogue (9.4 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 3.4 apg), senior forward Jamee Joseph (8.9 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 49.0 % FG%), and recent production from freshman forward Brianna Humphries (10.0 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 1.0 bpg, has only appeared in the four most recent games for the Hawks). San Diego Christian averages 57.8 points per game, while allowing 69.6 points per game to their opponents. 

The Battlin' Bears took on the Hawks earlier this season, a game in which the Battlin' Bears won 73-33, led by 16 points and six rebounds from Morgan Baird and 10 points from Ky Buell, while forcing 20 turnovers by San Diego Christian. 

San Diego Christian College is coached by Anessa Wolfblack in her first season at the helm.

Scouting the Bearcats: Rust College has begun their season 5-2, including wins in three of their last four games. 

The Bearcats are led by junior center Katie Blackmon (10.0 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 52.1 FG%), senior forward India Green (8.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 60% 3pt %), and junior guard Amelya Hatch (4.5 ppg, 2.8 apg, 2.3 rpg). The Bearcats average 68.7 points per game, while only allowing 55.2 points per game. 

Rust College is coached by Eric Jackson Jr. in his seventh season.
