Rocky Women Face Thomas More to Continue Historic Run

SIOUX CITY, Iowa, March 18, 2022- Rocky Mountain College stays in Sioux City, Iowa for the 2022 NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship presented by Bomgaars. The Round of 8 game will take place at the Tyson Events Center at 2 p.m. MT/3 p.m. CT.
No. 2 Rocky finished the regular season with a share of the Frontier Conference Regular Season Championship, won the Frontier Conference Women's Basketball Tournament Championship, won their Opening Round Championship, and won their Round of 16 game. Rocky enters the 2022 NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship as the No. 2 seed in the Duer Quadrant. Rocky will face Thomas More University at 2 p.m. MT/ 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 19.
Rocky Mountain College is on a historic run. They have won their first NAIA Tournament games. Won their first share of the Frontier Conference regular season title and their first Frontier Conference Tournament Championship, since 1988. They have won the most games ever at Rocky with 29, and these women are not done yet.
Rocky Mountain College is currently 29-4, 12-3. The Battlin' Bears are averaging 68.6 points per game, 35.4 rebounds per game, and 8.8 steals per game. N' Dea Flye leads the Battlin' Bears with 20.3 points per game, 9.3 rebounds per game, and 3.3 steals per game. Flye has recorded 16 double doubles so far this year.
