BILLINGS, Mont., Aug 26, 2022- Rocky Mountain College Volleyball put on a show in their first match in the Fortin Education Center of the 2022 season, winning 3-0.
From the start, it was clear the Battlin' Bears were energized to play their first home match of the season as they cruised to a 25-16 first set victory behind 5 kills from
Bella Bryan and 10 digs from
Ayla Embry.Â
Rocky continued to control the match in the second set, taking a 25-18 victory over the Blue Hawks.Â
The third set was a competitive, back and forth match for the first half of the set, until Rocky caught fire and pulled away with a 25-14 victory.
Bella Bryan led the way for the Battlin' Bears with 12 kills,
Blythe Sealey had 30 assists, and
Ayla Embry finished with 18 digs.
Senior Mackenna Johnson led the Blue Hawks with 8 kills, senior Bailey Pearcy totalled 18 assists, and senior Jenna Swope totaled 12 digs.Â
Rocky will improve to 4-1 on the season, while Dickinson State falls to 0-5 to start the 2022 season. The Battlin' Bears will travel to Sioux City, Iowa on Friday to participate in the Labor Day Classic. Rocky's first match of the weekend will be against No. 24 Dordt College on Friday, September 2nd at 12:00 pm (MST).Â
