Rocky Volleyball Defeats MSU-Northern 3-1 to Begin Frontier Conference Play

BILLINGS, Mont., Sept. 23, 2022- Rocky Volleyball begins their conference schedule on a high note, defeating MSU-Northern 3-1 (25-16, 26-28, 25-15, 25-16). 

The Battlin' Bears were in control throughout, including fighting off a Northern second set come-from-behind victory to settle back into rhythm and take control of the final two sets.  Rocky was paced by a season high 16 kills from Makenna Bushman, along with 13 kills from Taylor Wolf and 11 kills from Kyra Oakland. Blythe Sealey tallied an even 50 assists on the evening and Ayla Embry ended with 26 digs in the victory.

Northern was led by an impressive 21 kills from Jessalyn Chvilicek, along with 36 assists from Emily Feller and 18 digs from Bailey Egan. 

Rocky (8-10, 1-0 conf.) will take on MSU-Billings on Tuesday, September 27th at 7:00pm in Alterowitz Gym in a non-conference matchup.
