Rocky Men Stay Undefeated in Conference Play Defeating Evergreen 2-0

BILLINGS, Mont. Sept. 24, 2022- Rocky Mountain College Men's Soccer (5-1-1, 3-0 conf.) take the victory 2-0 over the Evergreen State College Geoducks (3-4-0, 2-2 conf.) Saturday afternoon. 

Rocky continued dominance in conference play Saturday afternoon taking a 2-0 victory. Igor Soares started the scoring off by capitalizing on a penalty kick in the 31st minute. Soares was not done contributing to the offensive work, as he assisted on a Niclas Bickel goal in the 78th minute to give the Battlin' Bears all the scoring they needed. The Rocky defense held Evergreen to only 3 shots throughout the match. 

Igor Soares finished with four shots on goal to go along with his goal and assist. Stefan Schenk saved both shots that he faced in this match. 

Angel Mange and Igor Soares each had six shots, three of which on goal, and one goal scored on the day. The Rocky defense only allowed three shots in the match.  

Jax Buckley and Andreas Malunat each had a shot on goal for Evergreen. Colin Hauser had five saves in the defeat

The Battlin' Bears will face Oregon Tech on Friday, September 30th in Klamath Falls, Oregon for their next matchup.
