BILLINGS, Mont., Sept. 30, 2022- Rocky Mountain College Volleyball (8-10, 1-0 conf.) hits the road Friday to face off against Carroll College, then travels up to Butte to take on No.19 Montana Tech Saturday evening.
Recap From Last Week: The Battlin' Bears began Frontier Conference play on a high note, defeating MSU-Northern in four sets last Friday night in the Fortin Education Center. Blythe Sealey tallied 50 assists (12.5 assists per set) in Friday's match, earning her Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Setter of the Week.Â
Scouting the Saints: Carroll College (9-9, 1-1 conf.) began their conference play with a pair of tough five set matches against Montana Western and Montana Tech. The Fighting Saints defeated Montana Western in Helena last Friday behind 20 kills from Elizabeth Heuiser and 51 assists from Hannah Schweickert. Carroll traveled up to Butte to take on No. 19 Montana Tech on Wednesday, falling in a closely contested five set match. Junior defensive specialist Julia Carr was named Frontier Conference Defender of the week last week, her second recognition of the season.Â
Rocky matched up against Carroll in the Frontier Conference Preseason Tournament, where they fell in a tight five set match behind Katherine McEuen's 32 digs and 13 kills.Â
History: Since 2014, the Battlin' Bears are 12-7 against Carroll College since 2014. Carroll College currently holds a three game win streak against the Battlin' Bears.

Scouting the Orediggers: Montana Tech (14-6, 2-0 conf.) opened their conference play with 2-0 start, defeating University of Providence in four sets last Friday, then defending their home court against Carroll College in five sets on Wednesday. Senior outside hitter Olivia Muir shined in both matches, leading the Orediggers with 13 kills against Providence, then adding 10 kills and three blocks in the win against Carroll.Â
Rocky matched up against Tech in the Frontier Conference Preseason Tournament in the final matchup of the tournament, where Tech swept the Battlin' Bears in three sets behind Maureen Jessop's 15 kills.Â
History: Since 2011, the Battlin' Bears are 21-9 against Montana Tech, but have dropped the last two matches against the Orediggers.Â
